Art in August 2025

Throughout the entire month of August, downtown Winchester transforms into an open‑air gallery featuring the work of local artists. Art is displayed in storefront windows and inside participating businesses.

On Saturday, August 17, the festival highlights Art in the Park—a free, family‑friendly arts showcase on the Winchester Common alongside the farmers’ market. Expect artist demonstrations, participatory activities, and works for sale by community artists.

This vibrant community festival offers a wonderful opportunity to explore local creativity, meet artists in casual gallery settings, and enjoy arts‑centered events free of charge.

Family Farm Night

Families enjoy Wright-Locke Farm music concert

On Tuesday, August 5, Wright‑Locke Farm hosts a Family Farm Night featuring Dandelion, a folk‑inspired children’s music group, playing from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

The farm opens its gates at 5:30 PM, inviting families to grab a blanket or lawn chair, bring a picnic and non‑alcoholic drinks, and enjoy live music in the beautiful farm setting. Light snacks and treats from Farm to Go—like popsicles and popcorn—are available, and adults can purchase beverages at the cash bar.

The event encourages early arrival, as parking is limited to designated lots, and it’s canceled in case of inclement weather such as thunderstorms.
